Analogic and Stratovan Partner to Enable Enhanced Threat Detection

Interoperability Represents the Future of Security Detection Technology

PEABODY, Mass. and DAVIS, Calif. (May 1, 2018) – Analogic Corporation (Nasdaq:ALOG), enabling the world’s medical imaging and aviation security technology, and Stratovan Corporation, a leading software house and developer of next-generation interactive visual analysis software for 3D imaging, today announced a partnership to develop nextgeneration threat detection software for aviation security.

The collaboration will support threat detection algorithms developed by Stratovan to enhance the capabilities of
Analogic’s airport checkpoint CT solution, ConneCT™. This represents a significant step toward the interoperability of
ConneCT with innovative third-party threat detection systems, enabling a new heightened level of aviation security.
“Until now, legacy technology was locked in proprietary platforms that could not support third-party software, making
upgrades slow and expensive,” said Mark Laustra VP, global business development and government relations at
Analogic. “Our system, ConneCT, was built on an open platform to be able to support third-party software and
peripherals, which is an advancement that has transformed the communications and software industries. Together,
Analogic and Stratovan are working to modernize aviation security, and we are proud to announce this partnership.”

“Stratovan has defined an achievable vision for the airport of the future and is leading the way in building tools that
enable interoperability for airport security,” said Jim Olson, Stratovan Corporation CEO. “Now we are working with
industry manufacturer, Analogic, to develop algorithms that enhance threat detection capabilities for its CT scanner for
airport checkpoints, ConneCT. We are proud to partner with Analogic and believe that the outcomes will enhance both
security and safety for passengers.”

Computed tomography (CT) technology, pioneered by Analogic, is the recognized next-generation of airport
checkpoint security. Analogic’s ConneCT was engineered to enable interoperability of threat detection and network
software, critical elements that maximize the capabilities and lifecycle of CT technology.
